Srinagar, November 10: ‘Hasil-i-Hyaat’, a collection of Kashmiri poetry by Syed Mohammad Yousuf Aajiz was released on Wednesday at a reception hosted by the Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Arts, Culture and Languages ​​(JKAACL) in the seminar room of the Academy in Jawahar Nagar in the presence of a host of scholars alongside renowned poets and writers from the Valley.

Judge (retired) Bashir Ahmad Kirmani was the chief guest on the occasion. He praised Aajiz for coming up with the book and called it an addition to Kashmiri literature.

He said Aajiz’s poetry is thorough and the book is a vivid example of his love and affection for Kashmiri literature and culture.

Former JKAACL Secretary Dr. Rafiq Masoodi, Prominent Poet and Writer Rafiq Raaz, Editor-in-Chief (Pahari) Dr. Farooq Anwar Mirza present at the event also spoke on the occasion and praised Aajiz for his great contribution to Kashmiri poetry through his book.

Other participants also praised the writer for his remarkable collection and contribution to the Kashmiri Language Poetry section.

The opening ceremony began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by Dr. Shabnam Showkat while the inaugural ceremony was led by Dr. Farooq Anwar who welcomed the guests while talking about the importance of organizing the function .

On this occasion, the review of the book was presented by Zahid Farooqi, who recited and quoted various verses from the book.

Meanwhile, expressing his gratitude to JKAACL for organizing the book release event, Syed Mohammad Yousuf Aajiz said the Academy has always been at the forefront in providing opportunities for poets and writers and encourage them.

Praising the efforts of his daughter Rehana Kounsar, Aajiz said that “It was through her efforts that my writings took the form of the book ‘Hasil i Hyaat’.

Rehana Kounsar, in her moving speech, gave a detailed account of her efforts to achieve her father’s dream.

Among others, eminent writers and poets inducing Ayoub Sabir, Zarief Ahmad Zarief, Rehana Kounsar, Shabnam Tilgami, Dr Abdul Ahad, Jameel Ansari, Dr Gulzar Ahmad, Javed Iqbal were also present on the occasion.
