Marilyn Wilder Nash, 85, joined Our Savior on Sunday October 31 from her home in Jacksonville, AR.
Born Marilyn Lynelle Wilder in Graysonia, AR, she graduated from Henderson State Teachers College in Arkadelphia, AR. She married her classmate Tom P. Nash Jr. in 1956, and the two lived in California, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas and Germany during her service in the United States Army, before settling in Jacksonville. Marilyn and Tom were members of the Jacksonville Christian Church, where Marilyn was treasurer for many years.
While raising her four sons, Marilyn also worked at McKimmey Associates, Realtors. Her family and friends cared for her warmth and wisdom, her dedication to those in need, her beautiful blankets and her soft little laugh.
She was predeceased by her parents, Charles Hampton and Laura Cornelia Wilder; two brothers and two sisters; her 55-year-old husband, Tom P. Nash Jr .; and his son Brian Thomas Nash.
His sons Keith Nash (Mary) of North Little Rock, David H. Nash (Deborah) of Decatur, GA, and Randy Nash (Lisa) of Vilonia cherish his memory; grandchildren Aron Thomas of North Little Rock, Lauren Nash Hendrix of Little Rock, Rachel Nash Pesnell (Garett) of McKinney, TX, Cody Nash (Allison) of Pottsville, Donny Nash of Conway and Wilder Nash of Decatur, GA; great-grandchildren Campbell Hendrix, Andrew Hendrix, Kenna Nash, Beau Nash, Noble Nash and Ivy Nash; and many other relatives and friends.
Visiting for family and friends will be on Monday, November 8 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Rd., North Little Rock, where the funeral will be on Tuesday at 11 a.m. . Interment will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park, North Little Rock. Flowers are welcome, or commemorative contributions can be sent to the Christian charity of your choice.
